Lambda COVID Variant: Its Global Spread, Vaccine Threat, and Impact

 

While all the variants of COVID-19 are mostly devastating and heart-wrenching, in the history of all of its variants, st there is a subtle belief that this variant can be the most devastating. While we have seen all the notorious variants of COVID-19 and since after vaccination this is a new variant and there are many things that we have discussed on this blog and having made the statement that the variant may be the most notorious one, it is not a coincidence that the variant might be termed as the variant of most concern. The reason is simple, and since we have established the fact of how the corona mutates and it is somehow related to your immunity and the daily work that every individual has.

The mutation

Before knowing how the mutation occurs in vaccinated people and why it is more lethal, let us understand what vaccination is. Vaccination is just a booster to your immunity. Let us take the case of a war scenario as we took it in our first article to understand how vaccination works, now there is a war and our white blood cells are getting ready for the war with the virus, at this point of time this particular individual has taken the jab (vaccination) and the immunity or the army which is supposed to fight against the virus has full information about the enemy because there was a messenger which gave them prior information about the invasion of this virus, and the army is fully equipped to fight the demon. Now what happens is the army is fully equipped and all but the number of soldiers in the army are very less, and now it is difficult for the army to handle the demon, the demon thus enters, and the war happens, but our soldiers die due to less strength or less number, but now the demon has caught hold of the messenger that came and gave information about their arrival and all their stratagem they had, and now they know that this can be very dangerous for them if these messengers are out there giving vital information bout their war and then on this information they decide to change their stratagem and mode of attack. To do that, they will make an even stronger strategy to attack.

Now, in the above story, the immunity is our army, the demon is the coronavirus, the messenger is the vaccination, and the change in strategy is the mutation, which is going to occur, which will possibly cause more harm to others who have taken vaccinations. This way, the next variant, which is possibly already there in the form of the lambda variant, will be the most lethal because it is now immune to the vaccination we humans are getting.

The Solution

While as far as we humans are concerned there is only one solution that we can think of which is increasing the immunity of an individual, remember that the vaccination is just a boost to your immunity it is not the immunity in true sense, in the example of the war the vaccination is not just information about the upcoming enemy but also a weapon which is supplied to the body in one or the other format and hence, taking it for granted and thinking it is the immunity against the virus will be utter foolishness, and this way the new variant can and possibly will e more lethal and devastating in the sense that it has become so strong that it can now wipe out a very huge population (the mortality rate of the virus will increase in non-vaccinated people and in vaccinated people the efficacy of vaccination will fall and a small mortality ratio may appear)

Conclusion

As to what an individual can do to save him/herself from the advent of this invasion and save oneself from the lethal attack of the virus, an individual has to, with no doubt need to take the vaccination and in addition to that he/she needs to increase or pay heed to individual health, because remember the vaccination is just additional information your body is getting from the outside the war still needs to be fought on the inside against the daemon.

Be safe and keep yourself updated, also it is important that we as a mass follow the COVID-19 appropriate behavior. Until and unless there is a green signal from the government agencies to stop them.
